Active School Week

Walkway Challenges

During Active School Week, the children took part in many

many active walkway challenges. The children in the senior

helped the younger children complete the challenges. Great

fun was had by all.

Active Homework

Throughout Active Week the children did some active homework.

The active homework sheet is a great tool to encourage children

and their families to do some activity at home together and encouraging

a healthy lifestyle outside of school. This was very successful and it is

something the school has incorporated on P.E. days throughout the

school year.

Whole School Fun Event

All children in the school took part in a Marathon relay, which was a whole

school running event. Children and teachers ran a marathon on the school

grounds and laps and times were divided up equally amongst everyone. The children

showed great energy in completing all their laps whilst trying to beat the schools

previous marathon relay time.

Teachers vs Pupils

The teachers and children from 5th and 6th battled it out in

a game rounders during Active School Week. In a very even contest,

the pupils came out victorious in the end.

New Activities

During the week, the children tried some new activities and developed

new skills. The teachers introduced a range of games from skipping

activities and frisbee games. Local sports associations delivered some

quality coaching with some children experiencing rugby and tennis for

the first time.
