discuss a range of issues. Our AGM took place on Oct 7th. They are also
involved in Christmas and Easter activities and Sports Day. If you are

Paula: 086 8197346 for further information. New members are always
welcome.
The
Newsletter is published 4 times per year (Halloween, Christmas, Easter &
June, to try to keep you up to date with just some of the things
happening in the school.
VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION
We would
like to thank you all for your support with our Voluntary Contribution.
We have had a very good response so far. We realize that this is a very
expensive time of year for parents but by contributing at this time,
all our children will benefit throughout the year. If you have not
contributed and would like to do so, you can forward this to school
addressed to the Treasurer, Balscadden Parents Association.
GREEN SCHOOLS NEWS
We are
working towards our flag in water conservation this year. We are also
continuing to make improvements in litter and energy, so please try to
reduce the packaging in lunch boxes and remember that a reusable bottle
is both eco-friendly and cheaper.
PARKING—BUSES
We ask that
people
DO NOT PARK
or stop in
the
BUS SET DOWN
area or
turning circle at school gate. Doing so endangers our children’s
safety. We would also ask people to keep to the speed limit on the
school road.
NPC NEWSBRIEF
Please check the school website:
www.balscadden.com for the latest NPC newsbrief.
SCHOOL CREDIT UNION
We hope to
have this up and running after mid-term. It will be run by the children
of 6th class, but we also need some help from 6th class parents. If
you’re free to help for 1 hr on a Friday (only every 3rd or 4th Friday)
then please contact the school.
BALBRIGGAN CREDIT UNION—GRANT
